Shelby II

Shelby II is a cute puppy who was an owner surrender due to financial problems.  We are getting to know her as she is a new intake.  As with all puppies we adopted we require a physical fenced yard and not children under 4.

Destiny

Destiny was a stray and came to us from a shelter.  She was pulled just in time. She had some health issues one being a badly infected tooth which she had removed.  She is doing well now and will be looking for a loving home very soon.  She is 9 and appears to really like living in a home. We are still getting to know her.

Bailey II

Bailey has fit in with her foster family right from the very beginning. She has made herself at home as soon as she walked through the door. She has wonderful house manners and loves to lay on a couch or bed when permitted. She plays well with her two foster brothers, and just ignores the house cat and the outside cat. She walks well on a leash and loves to go outside. She likes to play with any toy and especially loves to play fetch with any kind of ball.

We are working on some of her basic commands, especially "come", and she is improving already. Bailey is very much a Velcro dog who has to be where ever her human is. She just wants to lay close to you ,where ever you are, whatever you are doing. Never a pest , just close by. She is such a sweet and loving dog (who won over our hearts immediately) that she will make someone a wonderful companion. Whether there are other animals in the home or not, she will fit right in, and be a wonderful addition to a lucky family.

Minnie

Minnie came to Love a Golden rescue with nine adorable puppies from a puppy mill. She came to her foster home once the puppies were weaned. She is doing very well and is learning all about being a house dog. She clearly loves attention and plays well with her new doggie friends. She’s learning to walk well on a leash and gain confidence in new situations. She loves her crate and will require her forever home to be willing to continue using one. That is her security for now. Given a little time and patience she will make someone a wonderful forever friend.

Lady II

Lady II is approximately 2 1/2.   She was surrendered due to allergies.  Her early life was difficult but she is learning the joys of living with a family.  She is crate trained as she tends to get into mischief if given the chance.

Honeybee

Honeybee is 11 year old senior who was used for breeding. She is currently overweight and we found she has to be on thyroid meds. As she starts on her medication, she will begin to lose weight . Currently she is at 110 lbs and has a way to go. She is very sweet and loves to be petted. She is looking for a home of her own where she can get lots of love.

Rosalee

Rosalee is a 5 yr old spayed female, who was turned into a Shelter by an elderly owner who couldn't care for her any longer, Rosalee has shown she is completely committed to her humans! She is completely crate and house trained, she is learning "house manners", Since she has never been taught simple commands, we're starting at the very beginning. Rosalee does well with the dogs in her foster home. She appears to have a high prey drive, for this reason her forever home should not have any birds, cats or rabbits etc. She is learning to play with toys, she would love to go to obedience school and take long walks, a fenced yard is a necessity.

Abby

Abby is a new intake, she tested Heartworm Positive and will be undergoing treatment before she is ready for adoption. She is 8 years old and she was used for breeding. Abby is very sweet and with a lot of love will be a great house dog. Abby would like some foster buddies to help with the expense of her Heartworm Treatment.

Angel

Angel is a light blonde lab mix girl who is approximately 4 years old. She is active and enjoys playing. She loves to be outside and will fetch a ball as long as you are willing to throw it for her. If need be, Angel will entertain herself by tossing a tennis ball and pouncing on it as it bounces.

Angel had a very hard life before coming to rescue and has emotional scars. She can take a while to warm up to new people. Once she knows you, she can be needy for attention, but she also likes to play outside by herself or with her doggie buddy. Angel would benefit from obedience class to help her gain confidence in groups of people and dogs.

The adoption donation for Angel, who is a mix, is $200.
(instead of the $250 donation for most of our rescued dogs).

Bella

Bella is a very shy girl who came from a puppy mill.  She is approximately 4 years old.  She has a long road ahead of her before she is ready to be adopted, but would love some Foster Buddy to help with her medical bills.  Watch her grow as we add updated pictures.   She has had a terrible life but lucky to be in rescue.
