Lola |
My name is Miss Lola, but here at my foster home I just go by Lola. I am 5 years old and as you can see I am quite cute. I am a little on the heavy side at the moment because of a thyroid problem, but every day I get 2 little pills and a great diet food and I have already lost almost 3 pounds in less than 2 weeks!
I am a very adaptable, smart girl and I really love attention. I love to play with all kinds of toys and love to play fetch with a tennis ball or whatever I can get my foster mom or dad to throw. I love to carry a toy around with me most of the time. I love to be with my human and really love attention, but when my foster mom or dad says “Enough now, Lola, go lay down” I listen very well and go lay down. I know basic commands, like sit, shake, down, leave it (to get her to drop something) and come. I walk well on a leash and also love to ride in the van. I get along with my foster brother and two sisters and even with the cat that lives here. I also am crate trained. My foster mom says that as soon as you meet me you will fall in love and I will be a great addition to a new forever home. I hope to meet you at one of our Meet and Greets at Pet-co.

Ginjer
 |
Hi my name is Ginjer, about the only thing about me that is Golden is my color and my Golden heart. My owner no longer wanted me and I was taken to the vet to go to the bridge. The vet spotted a very sweet senior girl and I found my way to LAGR. I had a growth on my eye which has now been removed, I also had a dental and it was found I had some split teeth with exposed nerves and pus, horrible, I had 4 teeth removed. I feel like a new woman with no pain in my mouth. I do not look or act like a senior but I have been told I am, I weigh just under 40 lb. I am also hard of hearing, I just want a home of my own where I can hang out and keep my new family company

Dolly |
"Well, hello Dolly" That's what my foster mom said when she first saw me. After my spa day, she added "You're looking swell Dolly!".
I am 6 years old, my former family couldn't keep me, so now I'm looking for a new family who will tell me "It's so nice to have you back where you belong". I'm a six year old gorgeous redhead. I'm big-boned, but at 95 pounds, I could stand to lose a few pounds. I get along well with kids, cats and dogs. My favorite playmate at my foster home is an energetic 2 year old puppy. I have an eye condition that requires drops twice a day for my whole life. I tolerate the drops though, because I get a treat after. I love attention, whether it's getting petted, brushed or talked to. Everyone tells me how sweet I am, and I'm not going to lie, they are right!

Layla |
Hi My name is Layla, my birthday is 09 05 05. I came from a breeder and I am adjusting well to my foster home. I love to go on my daily walks, I do ok on leash and learning to do better. My coat has grown in nicely, I have long legs and told a pretty face. I will need a fenced yard as the world does scare me a little. I am afraid of simple things such as a piece of furniture being moved, vacuum cleaner I hide from and things like that. I am doing a lot better but will need a lot of patience. Sometimes I act like a puppy and chew things but I am doing better at that.

Millie |
Hello! My name is Millie, I came to rescue
because I pay no attention to an invisible fence and keep getting out.
I’m a little under a year and weigh about 60 lbs. I am a Golden
Retriever/Great Pyrenees mix. I love to play tug-a-war and be outside!
I am good with the command sit and am working on come, and down. I
like to go for walks and do very well on a leash. I get along with
most other dogs. Basically I am a happy go lucky dog! I
need a home with a physical fence.

Angel Bear |
Hi! My name is Angel Bear, but the “bear” part really doesn’t fit me at all so my foster family calls me Angel. They tell me that I’m a senior girl, but I have no idea what that means unless maybe it means loving to jump around and play with my tennis ball. I don’t like to brag, but I am very adept at tossing my tennis ball in the air and then catching it. Someone should take a picture of me doing that, but no one seems to be quick enough to get my action shots. I love the outdoors, particularly when the weather is crisp and clear like it has been this fall. I take time out from my other activities for squirrel patrol and am doing my best to keep the squirrels in the trees where they belong. My life was terrible before I came to rescue. I was turned in to rescue by a vet clinic which had saved me from my prior owners and who described me as a Golden Retriever mix. Well, I’m a light golden color and I do retrieve, but who knows what type of dogs my parents were, likely not Golden Retriever. My coat is beautiful (if I do say so myself) somewhat like a yellow Lab’s. My ears are a lot more mobile than a retriever’s ears (the better to hear those pesky squirrels), and my muzzle is a little more triangular. When I came to rescue, I must admit that I did not look my best. I had been starved and mistreated. I even had to go through heartworm treatment. I have now been in rescue a long, long time. It’s fun being in my foster home where I know I am loved. However, I want my own home and hope to find someone to love me for who I am. I may take a while to warm up at first, but that’s just because not everyone was nice to me in my pre-rescue past. They tell me I have baggage from my past and that makes me be shy in new situations. That is what it is, but I know that once I trust you, I only want to love you and be loved and am always ready for a hug. I need my own angel, who understands dogs like me, to take me home and help me live a happy life.
