In Loving Memory

Shredder

Toby- 12 1/2 years old

Adopted 2002

Toby was a very beloved companion in his adoptive home.  He knew all the tricks and would go through his whole routine if he thought there was a treat involved. He loved going for a boat ride and would follow along the shoreline until you picked him up. Perhaps Toby's neatest feature was that big old dog smile which he would give his family when they came home because he was always so glad to see them. Toby's picture is the picture on our rescue's Senior Life Program logo.

Princess Laurel

9/1/92 - 8/18/06

Princess Laurel came to rescue when her owner was moving out of the country. Not long after she came to rescue, our rescue vet removed several mast cell tumors. She was happy and feeling great most of the time, but she eventually lost her fight to cancer, just a few weeks before her 14th birthday. She loved rolling in the grass and chasing tennis balls.

Duke

6/30/95 - 8/18/06

Duke was a very special Golden.  He was smart and loving and wanted to be your friend.  His owner passed away, and he came to rescue.  We had hoped that he would have lots more time to enjoy life with a new family, but that was not to be.  He did not survive heartworm treatment.

Betsy

(rescue name Bess)

10/23/01 - 7/31/06

Bess came to rescue as a young adult Golden with very bad hip dysplasia.  She had surgery on both hips in rescue and was always happy and upbeat.  Bess was adopted in late 2003 when she was 2 years old and renamed Betsy by her new family.  Betsy and her Golden brother Rory, who was also adopted from Love A Golden, were at the 2005 reunion where Betsy easily won the Sassy Walk contest.  She was a very happy and loving girl and will be missed by all who knew her.

Roger/Reddy

Senior Golden

 ?? - 4/06.

Reddy (whose rescue name was Roger) was a sweet senior boy who was adopted in late 2004.  He had a wonderful time with his family.  Unfortunately he succumbed to lymphoma.  His family describe him as a treasure.

Gertie, Senior Golden ?? - 8/06

Gertie was a gentle and sweet girl who loved everyone and wanted to be your friend.  She came to rescue after somehow ending up in a shelter at 11 years of age.  She was lucky to have had almost a year in her adoptive home where she had a Golden buddy and lots of love.
