How
do you do a virtual 5K?
A
virtual run is not
a group of people gathering in one place and running together. There
are many ways to participate. Choose one from the list below that
works for you… or come up with another way.
Here
are some ideas:
Walk
around the block--a bunch of times--with your pooch, and then end
up
with a treat--a dog biscuit for your pup, and a bowl of ice cream
for you. (We won’t punish you if you don’t end up walking the
entire 5 kilometers.
We promise.)
Push
your baby in the stroller. It can be in your neighborhood, in a park
or on
one of the scenic trails by your house. When you’ve
strolled your bambino
to sleep, you can consider your 5K finished…
if that’s what you’d like to do.
Binge your favorite
series--all six seasons in one weekend. Once you watched them all,

one of those fancy, historic neighborhoods. Rent a motorized scooter
and off you go. When you finish checking out the cool homes and the
interesting architecture, you can check “virtual 5K” off your
bucket list.
Walk
on your treadmill until you’ve done 5K. Or, take all the clothes
off your treadmill (it makes a great place to hang your fresh
laundry)
so it at least looks like you use your treadmill… and
mark your 5K as “done.”
