Adopt A Pet
Cooper

Male Mix

Cooper was surrendered to us because his family moved to a place that only took small dogs.  We were told he is Australian  Sheepdog/Black lab mix.  He is 11 years old.   His hips are not the best and he takes Dasuquin.  When we first got him he was very stressed, that was end of July.  The only home he knew was gone and he was put in a foster home with other dogs which help him.   Over the last month he has adapted well.

This is what his foster mom says:

He's making improvements every day! 💕 he is playing with the other dogs-except his back legs or hips give out and he slips. So then he will bark, but he's happy!! He didn't bark at first, but my dog taught him that bad habit.  I've switched his food to Purina one joint health. He didn't like any healthy treats at first. Now he's in with the pack! We keep him in his thunder shirt from time to time because he pants a lot due to anxiety. He doesn't chew on anything inappropriately and is completely potty trained. So the anxiety is really just panting and excited barking when I get home. He took treats from little neighbors well, although he is working on being more gentle.
